Paramount Skydance Will Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report

Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are expected, with the company intending to disclose full details via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates stated that Paramount was looking to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, the company retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
